What are the technologies which are in development and can change the world? This book reviews many of them and makes you think more about how to prepare for this future.

We as humans we have a hard predicting when future technologies will be reality. This book does not give any timelines but talks emerging and in-development technologies with how it can effect business as we know it. Most of the big disruptors from AI to gene editing this book reviews. However VR was surprisingly missing. Each chapter talks about one disruptor and at the end of each chapter it provides some ways to start preparing by breaking it into what the author calls “slice of PIE” personal, internal and external.

Closing Thoughts

Futureproof is a easy read and well written book. As a person who likes to follow and learn new technologies I did not learn a lot however it did get me thinking more about preparing for the future. I recommend this book to anyone looking to get an overview of the technologies the world is working on and where we are headed it’s a good read.
